In your last assignment, you deliberately put a great deal of emphasis on citing sources in your PowerPoint. This was not by accident. Unfortunately, some members of the C level team are beginning to be resistant to some of your support. Why? Darleen believes it is ultimately due to the fact that you are having an impact. You are relieved to hear her say this, and your sensibilities likewise have allowed you to come to the conclusion that indeed, you are on the right track. With that said, your intention in this case is to follow up and make sure that those that might be quietly resisting in the background understand that these ideas and sensibilities being expressed in your consulting efforts with them are not off the top of your head. Indeed, you are a well-researched consultant with a number of years of training behind you. To that end, you have realized at this point that you want to provide them with an entirely scholarly response to some issues that you know will be important to them. As a result, you are going to create a short scholarly white paper regarding a corporate topic of interest related to a relatively emotional issue in the company.

Learning from Failure and the Ability to Endure

Utilizing the resources for this course, as well as four (4) outside sources, you are to write a 1850- word position paper which discusses the relevance of maintaining an organization culture with the capacity to endure difficult times and to be resilient in times of failure and to learn from it. Cite your references pursuant to APA standards. You have talked this over with Darleen and she is in full agreement with this approach. By sharing this scholarly white paper, you know that the leaders in the company will have the opportunity to observe the fact that indeed many organizations have dealt with failure before and have responded to it in all-together thoughtful ways. At the end of the position paper, come up with at least two discussion questions that you would like the C team to reflect on as they reflect on the thoughts that you have shared.

Your work should come in the form of a formal APA paper and come in the following components.

· Component 1: Discuss the relevance of maintaining an organization culture with the capacity to endure difficult times and to be resilient in times of failure.

· Component 2: Discuss the importance of learning from failure and difficult times. How can failure drive a company towards innovation?

· Component 3: Compose two discussion questions for the C team to reflect upon.

Please ensure in executing this assignment that you make specific references to the readings provided as well as the utilization of at least four outside references which can be used to support your ideas presented. The use of outside sources is important because even though the materials provided for this course are excellent, as a graduate student you are expected to be able to consult a variety of sources regarding a given topic and synthesize that scholarly input into a thoughtful set of recommendations, conclusions, etc.

The essay should be 2000- words and should include at least four (4) citations. The sections should be clearly marked with headings so that your instructor knows which points you are addressing. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The title page and references page do not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.
