industry.

The Writing Assignment should discuss a law or standard
pertaining to information security and privacy, give the background that caused
the law or standard to be developed, outline the major provisions of the law or
standard, indicate any legal proceedings that resulted from an application of
the law or standard, and discuss security safeguards that may be implemented to
comply with the law or standard.
