Refer to Chapter 11 of your textbook, which provides the framework for engaging in principled, interest-based negotiations.

As the chapter takes you through the steps for preparing and carrying out a negotiation, you will find that there are “Thought-Starters” presented in the exhibits throughout the chapter. They are found in Exhibits 11-1, 11-2, 11-4, 11-5, 11-7, 11-8, and 11-9.

For this assignment, you will choose an actual negotiation that is confronting you. Follow these directions:

Write a minimum one-page (250-word) response for each “Thought-Starter”. In many instances, you will find that you will need more than one page to complete the exercise.

Use the instructions in each exhibit located in Chapter 11 for guidance.

In addition to your 7 thought-starter responses, write a one-page (minimum) assessment of this negotiation experience and a summary of what you learned from it.
