It can be from any age or genre as long as: 1. It features an American director; 2. It features a predominantly American cast; and 3. You have seen it and you know it well. Discuss what makes it “American?” or particularly indicative of the American culture or experience? It does NOT have to be a historical piece (I’d prefer it not be, in fact), but explain how the theme and/or other aspects of the film define or exemplify our culture.
